Interview date: September 6, 2021

Today we get to know Fatima, Baud's Project Manager. Dedicated to her work, with great professionalism and a great team spirit when it comes to work, Fatima is a great professional in client management and has more than 15 years of experience dedicated to them, both nationally and internationally.

Why did you choose branding as a profession?

Since I was very young I have been fascinated by brands, their creation, development and management.

What is the best thing about your job?

From my point of view, the best thing about my job is that it gives me access to different business sectors and the opportunity to learn new things constantly, because every day is different.

I also highly value the relationships that are built with customers, colleagues, suppliers....

And the worst part?

The effect that the different types of crises experienced in recent years have had on clients, agencies and the sector in general.

On the other hand, though, these situations have created opportunities and fostered creativity. We have certainly had to undertake to manage and be resourceful in difficult times.

Which brand/s would you like to work for? Why?

On the one hand, I would like to continue working for iconic brands that must reinvent themselves to maintain their relevance in today's market.

On the other hand, it is very interesting to work with the new technological, energy, financial, etc. brands that are emerging, mainly from start-ups.

What do you get out of working at Baud?

Precisely the possibility of working with different types of brands in terms of scope, magnitude, industry, market, etc.

For you, what are the best qualities that a professional in your area should have?

Curiosity, vocation, dedication, professionalism, integrity, empathy and emotional intelligence.

How do you see the future of your profession a few years from now? What changes do you think may arise?

I believe that the main ingredients will not change. The ability to build relationships, to understand and anticipate customer needs, to tell stories that connect brands with their internal and external audiences, to manage teams and projects, and to have a clear and relevant commercial vision will continue to be fundamental.

What I think is going to change are the environments and tools with which we are going to perform all these actions.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in your profession?

I would tell him to enter the profession with curiosity, without fear of exploring different areas and with a lot of interest in learning new things. This industry presents endless opportunities and a continuous need to reinvent yourself. That curiosity and interest are essential for a long, fulfilling and satisfying career.

In a nutshell...

  • A benchmark: just one? Impossible.
  • A confessable hobby: I don't like to lose or be wasted for no reason.
  • A book you would recommend: The Infinite Plan' by Isabel Allende.
  • Your ideal music to work with: I prefer to work without music.
  • A phrase that is your mantra: "Do one thing every day that scares you." Eleanor Roosevelt
  • A plan to disconnect: a good book, a good series or a yoga class...
  • Something surprising about you: strangely enough... I don't like to talk about myself.
