Real Oviedo is much more than a century-old club. It is an institution deeply rooted in Asturian identity, with a history of pride, valor, and grit shared across generations. In a context of internal transformation, sporting ambition, and international projection, the club needed to update its brand to connect with new generations, attract a global community, and reinforce its bond with the city and its people, without losing sight of what matters most: its legacy.

CHALLENGE

The main challenge was to build a brand strategy that unified the emotional, the sporting, and the territorial. A narrative capable of amplifying the oviedista sentiment and projecting it into the future, without breaking with its essence. It was necessary to redefine the club's identity from its roots, highlighting Asturian history and culture, while simultaneously activating a platform that would strengthen the relationship with the fans, improve the member experience, and position the club as a contemporary leader both on and off the field.

SOLUTION

Baud developed a comprehensive strategy based on a powerful idea: the infinite club. A vision that understands Real Oviedo as an endless feeling, passed down from generation to generation as a living legacy. From this concept, the brand's purpose, values, and personality were defined, activating a coherent, emotive, and competitive communication system that strengthens the connection with fans and elevates the club's perception.

Build a brand from the club's truth

The project began with an audit phase in which we worked with representatives from the Club, the technical team, employees, fans, and stakeholders. The diagnosis was clear: there was a real opportunity to build a brand that would help better communicate who they are, capable of differentiating Real Oviedo in its sector and connecting with new generations without losing its essence.

The conclusions highlighted the unconditional loyalty of the fans and the strength of its pillars. They also showed that the Club's history and heritage are its differentiating factor, and that the fan experience represents one of the greatest opportunities for growth and consolidation.

 A brand that transcends sport and is embodied in an idea with a vocation for permanence: Real Oviedo, the Infinite Club. A feeling that has no end, that grows, is passed down from generation to generation, and accompanies people on and off the field, anywhere in the world.

This strategy translated into a solid visual identity, with an art direction that combines history and contemporaneity. In collaboration with Arilla Type, a custom typeface was designed, inspired by Asturian pre-Romanesque art, which reclaims the club's local character and projects it strongly into the future. A graphic gesture loaded with symbolism that unites tradition and modernity in a single stroke.

A brand that expresses pride, belonging, and future

The new identity builds on emotion and respect, with a tone that balances sporting epicness with everyday closeness. The visual system articulates elements of Asturian heritage, the architecture of the Tartiere stadium, and local cultural imagery, creating a unique aesthetic in the football landscape. From institutional materials to digital and physical platforms, each piece transmits the soul of Real Oviedo.

Oviedista Sentiment as a Catalyst for Transformation

Baud's work has helped consolidate Real Oviedo as a relevant and differentiating brand in the sporting landscape. A brand that honors its history without nostalgia, connects with youth without losing authenticity, and makes sports a universal language for sharing the values of a land.
