Getting to know María Gallardo, Office Manager at Baud

Interviews with Baud members

Interviewee: María Gallardo, Office Manager.
Date of the interview: July 1, 2020.

We continue with the new content framework in which we can get to know the members of our team a little better, those who build Baud. Maria is adventurous, an earthquake and versatile. She is also an adventurer on a professional level, in that she has worked in many areas: from her passion (archeology), museum guide, psychomotor and swimming instructor, customer service, project assistant, etc. Organized and efficient, she helps her colleagues whenever she can and prefers to seek solutions rather than guilty.

Why have you chosen Branding as a profession?

Branding chose me, it's my new adventure.

What is the best thing about your job?

Help whenever I can and learn new things.

And the worst?

Dealing with disorganization, I don't get along.

What does working at Baud bring you?

Knowledge of other areas even if I do not work them first hand.

For you, what are the best qualities that a professional in your area should have?

Be a multitask and know how to prioritize the tasks that arise. And ask! The more you ask, the more you learn.

How do you see the future of your profession in a few years? What changes do you think may emerge?

Right now I see it uncertain, but we have to keep working on it.

In a nutshell…

  • A reference: Lao Tse.
  • A confessable mania: wherever I go I have to be prepared for any situation (my bag could be Mary Poppins's or Hermione Granger's).
  • A book you would recommend: The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien.
  • Your ideal music to work with: more than to work, it depends on how I feel at the time. I can be listening to rock or classical.
  • A phrase that is your mantra: When you allow yourself what you deserve, you attract what you need.
  • A plan to disconnect: Reading-Mountain-Beach-Adventure Sports.
  • Something surprising about you: my adaptability and that I have many hobbies such as playing the guitar, singing, creating my own clothes, making crafts, climbing mountains and hiking trails or going to the beach even when it rains.
